Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

This program has beneficial outcomes for stress, depression, anxiety, burnout, improved sleep, better concentration, increased compassion, and deeper listening, based on four decades of research.  MBSR has been the gold standard secular mindfulness program since its development by Jon Kabat-Zinn in the 1970’s at the University of Massachusetts.

What Others Are Saying

“When I took MBSR, I was not sure exactly what I was getting myself into. I just knew I needed to decrease the stress in my life and increase joy. As this turned out, Ted was my teacher. I couldn't have had a better teacher. Ted’s class challenged me in the best of ways and made me a better human. Upon leaving his class, I was able to practice many ways of being mindful. I became better at mindfully eating, mediating, and knowing the sensations in body, especially when triggered. Ted has been one of the few people who has inspired me to become the certified mindfulness teacher I am today. I stand firm in recognizing Ted’s talents, set for life, discipline, care for humanity, and strength in leading others mindfully. ”

"Mindfulness is a powerful tool for Veterans and Active duty service members that are dealing with PTSD. Ted Meissner is a phenomenal teacher, that is incredibly gifted when it comes to connecting with Veterans and meeting them exactly where they are, in order to best serve them. As a previous student and fellow Veteran, I experienced first hand the calm and supportive teaching techniques that Ted brings into the classroom."
