Episode 077 :: Patricia Lynn Dobkin :: Mindful Medical Practitioners: A Guide for Clinicians and Educators

Patricia Lynn Dobkin

Dr. Patricia Lynn Dobkin joins us to speak about her new book, Mindful Medical Practitioners: A Guide for Clinicians and Educators.

Teaching mindfulness can be a very challenging activity. Introducing it to various contexts requires a deep understanding of that environment, the attitudes and perspectives of the potential participants, and an elegant navigation of the culture in which the practice is being introduced. The nuances of the medical profession are perhaps some of the most complex with which a teacher needs to relate, integrate, and thrive.

Patricia Lynn Dobkin, PhD, runs the McGill Programs in Whole Person Care at McGill University, Department of Medicine in Montreal, Canada.
