Tobias Cann joins us to speak about mindfulness, spirituality, and well being education in schools with his international work.
Mindfulness in schools is growing by leaps and bounds, all over the world. From the .b program in the U.K., to Mindful Schools in the U.S., and a host of other programs are introducing and growing contemplative practice for kids. What does the journey look like from the inside, as a teacher?
Toby Cann is a Teacher of Wellbeing and former Director of Student Wellbeing for the GEMS group. He is a contributor to the International Baccalaureate’s Social & Emotional Learning Committee and the 2020Health Initiative in the UK. He is a member of the European Network for Social & Emotional Competencies and leads the Character Competency for Ecolint’s 21st Learning program in Geneva. Toby is currently an MA Student of Theology at the University of Bristol and has recently returned from Bhutan as a participant at the Gross National Happiness Conference in Paro. His interests lie in alternative educational paradigms, political literacy and contemplative educational practice. He lives in Frome, Somerset.
