Episode 049 :: Jamie Marich :: Dancing Mindfulness: A Creative Path to Healing and Transformation

Jamie Marich

Dr. Jamie Marich joins us to speak about her new book, Dancing Mindfulness: A Creative Path to Healing and Transformation.

When we think about mindfulness, many of us might conjure an image of a person sitting on a cushion, legs crossed, in utter stillness. And though it’s true one can be mindfully aware in that way, mindfulness can also find expression in dance as one of many avenues of healing.

Jamie Marich, PhD, LPCC-S, LICDC-CS, a life-long dancer and the founder of the Dancing Mindfulness community and facilitator-training program, is a clinical counselor who leads trainings and retreats on trauma, addiction and mindfulness worldwide. An author of several books on topics related to trauma and recovery, she actively trains facilitators in the Dancing Mindfulness practice, and maintains a private clinical practice in her home base of Youngstown-Warren, Ohio.
